PRESENTER: Hannah Brodhagen  – Has been collecting minerals since 2017. She has competed with her collection every year at the TGMS Show since 2022. Her collection primarily focuses on worldwide competitive miniature minerals. She also has a collection of Arizona minerals, a rough and cut collection, and a small suite of rhodochrosite, which is her favorite mineral.  

LECTURE:  “Bubblegum Pink to Cherry-Red: A Collector’s Guide to Worldwid Rhodochrosite ” – Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral, often found in hydro  combination of intense color and rarity has made rhodochrosite one of the most admired minerals globally. There are over a hundred notable localities of rhodochrosite worldwide and a broad spectrum of colors. Rhodochrosite is extremely sought after and in high demand in today’s collector market. In this presentation, Hannah will discuss what makes rhodochrosite a desirable species for collectors and look at the numerous localities that it’s known from.
